Overview
I’ve been studying mastery, performance psychology, nutrition, authenticity, fearlessness, and internal peace since 2016 (6 years) to solve the problems and psychology questions I address with this site and my services. I played varsity high school football in Georgia, graduated from Georgia Tech with a 3.9 GPA, worked as a software engineer at Capital One for 3 years, and got promoted before pivoting to be a product manager at Sciencelogic for another 3 years. I received another promotion as a product manager and led a team of offshore and US software engineers to create a net-new product line that generates multiple 6-figures (yearly) for a top 5 company product initiative.
I personally set out to achieve a 4.0 GPA in undergrad so I think the 3.9 GPA showcases my capacity and resourcefulness to achieve intrinsically motivated goals. I think the Computer Science degree and my 3 years as a professional software engineer demonstrate that I can understand and learn complex information and abstractly think and use creative thought to solve problems without predefined answers. I pivoted into product management to force myself to address authenticity issues and to apply my personal studies in human psychology to lead and influence others. As a product manager I had experience in being a leader, seeing the perils of making assumptions, and felt the pain of tying one’s self-worth to achievement. As a product manager I also personally experienced and witnessed the limits of extrinsic motivation.
